چکیده

This paper provides analysis of identification of acoustic transfer functions between two microphones and investigation of modified application from two-microphone adaptive noise cancelling and beamforming methods. Based on this, we will perform real-time performance comparisons to obtain the best solution to speech enhancement and noise cancellation. Experiments are processed by software implementation using LabVIEW in a real environment, which is typical indoor office with moderate reverberation condition. The speech performances are analyzed in time and frequency domains using both stationary and nonstationary noises. The analysis on the three type of microphones configuration and computational complexity on NLMS algorithm and TDOA function have also been investigated, which could give rise to fundamental basis for further real-time applications using two-microphone as well as hardware prototype implementation of digital adaptive hearing aids. Keywords— ANC, beamforming, NLMS, system identification, TDOA, VAD

شکل‌دهی وفقی و هوشمند پرتو در آرایه‌های میکروفونی Ad-hoc با استفاده از خوشه‌بندی و رتبه‌بندی میکروفون‌ها

Considering the existence of a many speech degradation factors, speech enhancement has become an important topic in the field of speech processing. Beamforming is one of the well-known methods for improving the speech quality that is conventionally applied using regular (classical) microphone arrays. Due to the restrictions in the regular arrangement of microphones, in recent years there has be...

Speech Enhancement by Modified Convex Combination of Fractional Adaptive Filtering

This paper presents new adaptive filtering techniques used in speech enhancement system. Adaptive filtering schemes are subjected to different trade-offs regarding their steady-state misadjustment, speed of convergence, and tracking performance. Fractional Least-Mean-Square (FLMS) is a new adaptive algorithm which has better performance than the conventional LMS algorithm. Normalization of LMS ...

A real-time kepstrum approach to speech enhancement and noise cancellation

This paper introduces the kepstrum method of identification of acoustic transfer functions and its realtime application in techniques such as speech enhancement and noise cancellation. By using kepstrum (known elsewhere as complex cepstrum) analysis, we will show that the kepstrum method is reliable and applicable to real-time processing by providing an efficient kepstrum processing technique w...

Musical-noise-free blind speech extraction integrating microphone array and iterative spectral subtraction

In this paper, we propose a musical-noise-free blind speech extraction method using a microphone array for application to nonstationary noise. In our previous study, it was found that optimized iterative spectral subtraction (SS) results in speech enhancement with almost no musical noise generation, but this method is valid only for stationary noise. The proposed method consists of iterative bl...
